Maria Parretti, 47, of Leicester, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016, in UMass Hospital, surrounded by loving family members, after being stricken ill. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Tiscione; her parents, Robert F. and Theresa B. (Bodinizzo) Parretti of Worcester; two step-sons, Vincent A. Tiscione of Worcester, and Nicholas M. Tiscione of Leicester; a step-daughter, Talia A. Tiscione of Leicester; a brother Francis Parretti and his wife, Theresa of Worcester; two sisters Karen Cerullo and her husband Brian of West Boylston, and Sandra Taubert of Sterling; a step grandson, Vincent Renaud; several nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her brother in law, James Taubert of Sterling, on February 25 of this year. She was born in Worcester on March 19, 1968, and graduated from Burncoat Senior High School in 1986. Maria worked for herself as a Title Examiner for thirty-five years. Maria and Vincent moved to Leicester ten years ago, into the home of her dreams, a beautiful house on the water. Their home on the lake became the center of many family gatherings, where family and friends would come together to enjoy boating, fun times or to hear the joy in her distinct laugh. Maria enjoyed life, she loved to be with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, boating, and motorcycling with Vincent. Maria will be remembered as a fun loving, happy person who was full of life and love for those around her. Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours, where they can visit with Maria’s family on Friday (tonight), March 18, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 19th from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Fales Street, Worcester.
