Paul V. Feeley, Sr.

Paul V. Feeley, Sr., 93 of Worcester, the beloved husband of the late Ruth (Selzo) Feeley, died on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Odd Fellows Home. Paul was born in Worcester, MA on January 25, 1923, son of the late James and Catherine (Erb) Feeley. Paul worked for the United States Postal Service as a Post Office Supervisor for many years before he retired in 1982.  He served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II in India.  Paul is a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a former communicant of Saint Stephen’s Church where he was involved in the men’s club and served as an usher for both churches.  He was also a member of the Greendale Men’s Club and a retired commander of the American Legion Sentry Post 445 on Main Street.  Paul enjoyed trips to the casino, golfing, bingo and planned many bus trips to Atlantic City.  Paul leaves a son, Paul V. Feeley, Jr. of Worcester; three daughters, Kathleen DiBenedetto, wife of Vincent A. DiBenedetto and Judith Torrey wife of David Torrey all of Worcester, Anne Marie Wamback wife of Gerard Wamback of Naples, FL; two brothers, James of Northborough and Joseph of Grafton; a sister, Patricia East of St. Petersburg, FL.; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by four brothers, John, Richard and Wilfred Feeley of Worcester and Harold Feeley of Milford, CT; five sisters, Helen Vela of La Mirada, CA, Mary Henning of Los Angeles, CA, Ruth Walsh of Milford, CT, Rita Stencel of Millbury and Catherine Phelan of Milford, CT. Paul’s family would like to thank all the staff at the Odd Fellows Home for their care and compassion during his time of need. Services for Paul will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester.  Burial will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.  A period of calling hours will held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
