Eugene “Butchie", “Geno” Felicetti Jr., age 74, of Worcester and Auburn, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by friends and family at Memorial Hospital, on Monday, March 7, 2016. His beloved wife, Nancy (Tannebring) predeceased him. They had enjoyed a wonderful life together laughing, dancing, cooking, and sharing a joy of sailing. Nancy passed away in 2009 after a long battle with cancer, with Eugene by her side. They have two children, Jennifer Magsino and her husband, Jonathan of Millbury, and Dana Felicetti and his wife, Jessica of Worcester; three grandchildren, Amelia and Jacob Felicetti, and Jared Magsino. Eugene was born November 10, 1941 to the late Eugene “Gerry” and Theresa (Lambudis) Felicetti. The oldest of three children, he is survived by his sister, Geraldine Morin of Millbury, and his cousin, Mary Anne Casey of Auburn, his sister-in-law, Judy Hickey of Vineyard Haven; nieces, nephews, and his dear friends, Dan and Diane Browne.He was predeceased by sister, Ellen “Honey” Valinski, his brothers-in-law, Wilfred Morin, Andy Valinski, Michael “Jerry” Falcone, and William “Bill” Tannebring, and his sister-in-law, Marsha Falcone. He was also predeceased by his nephew Sean Hickey. Eugene was a resident of Worcester and Auburn, growing up on Grafton Hill, he graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He began his career at Wyman Gordon and then as an exhibit-builder at Fahey Exhibits in Stow, MA. He later worked for The University of Massachusetts Medical School and retired from The Worcester Housing Authority where he worked with the Step-Up program, a job he enjoyed greatly, helping at-risk young adults. He was a member of the Brown Square Civic Club, and North American Martyrs Church. He was a lover of the outdoors, hiking, camping, gardening, beaches, and most of all sailing.He was blessed to have had many life-long friends, in particular: The Bousquet, Pashoian, Cote, Carrigilia, and Grassechi families.Calling Hours will be held on Friday, March 11, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 12, with a procession departing the funeral home at 9:15 a.m., for a 10 a.m. Mass at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn.
