Patricia Casavant

Patricia (Gerdauskas) Casavant, 72, of Worcester passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Beaumont at University Campus following a courageous battle with cancer.  She was surrounded at the end by the family she adored. Born on October, 21, 1943 in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late John A.  and Rose M. (Altimani) Gerdauskas .  Patricia was a graduate of Commerce High School and earned her B.S. in Education from Worcester State College.   In her earlier years, Patricia taught the third grade and then later worked as a System Analyst for The Paul Revere Life Insurance Company in Worcester, MA.   She loved to read but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family and close friends.  She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Alan Casavant and her granddaughter, Stephanie Patricia Racicot. Patricia is survived by her three daughters, Deborah M. Whittredge of Auburn; Linda M. Racicot and her husband Mark of Charlton and Elizabeth A. Parzych and her husband Alexander of Buffalo, New York; a sister, Marie R. Bilzerian and her husband Arthur A. of Worcester and her  six adored  grandchildren, Tim, Taylor, Ken, Jack, Sarah and Jacob. A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 11:00am with Rev.
