Ann D. (D’Elia) Iandoli of Worcester, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving children. Her husband Louis C. Iandoli died in 2001. Ann leaves her devoted family James L. Iandoli and his wife Joyce of Worcester, Louis J. Iandoli of Boston, Paula D. Ghize and her husband John of Paxton, and Ann Louise Iandoli and her husband Mauricio Blandon. Ann was also the doting grandmother to John, Susan, Kerry, Dean, Stephen, Karin, Lori, Ana, Bianca, Louis B.and Dominique. Ann also leaves thirteen great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Frank, Charles, Joseph, and Ralph “Jack”D’Elia, six sisters,Camella Dintini, Mary Biscotti, Rose Palumbo, Rita McGlamory, Louise Graziano, and Theresa McCarthy. Ann was born in Worcester daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Lopardo) D’Elia and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and Becker College. She was a professional singer who appeared in many local venues and also sang in New York, Chicago, Atlantic City and many other cities. She sang for many years on WTAG. Her vocals ranged from American music to Opera. She could still sing in Italian dialect. She performed many times with the Worcester Light Opera Company, and also at the Little Theatre. If you visited Ann you could hear her singing and cooking at the same time. Her zest for life was remarkable! But her most treasured times were those spent with her family which she loved with all her heart. She was so proud of her Italian Heritage. She was also an avid tennis player for many years. Ann was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann , The Worcester Art Museum, and the Worcester Club. Ann’s funeral will be held on Saturday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Friday from 5PM to 8PM. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park.
