George H. Lawrence,61, of Worcester died peacefully Wednesday February 3, 2016 at home. George is survived by his loving family, his father James A. Lawrence, a son David Lawrence and his wife Lisa, his daughter Cheryl Lawrence-Brand, and a stepson Christopher Bynaker and his wife Anne. George is also survived by two brothers, James Lawrence, and Dennis Lawrence and his wife Maureen all of Meriden CT. Two sisters, Bernadette Jenkins and her husband Robert of Meriden, and Mary Ann Elcuri and her husband Ben of Middletown CT. George is the loving grandfather to Dimitri, Isabella, Joseph, Noah, Ethan, and Laine-Rain, also many nephews and nieces. George was born in Meriden CT. Son of James and Mary Alice (Levine) Lawrence. He was a graduate of the American School for the Deaf in Connecticut. He worked as a mail sorter for the United States Postal service in Connecticut. He has lived in Worcester for 20 years. George was a very happy and generous person who really enjoyed life. He loved to ride his Harley, and was a Monte Carlo Automobile enthusiast. He really loved that car! However his most treasured times are the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. George’s funeral service will be held on Friday February 19, 2016 at 12 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Calling hours will be held from 10AM until the time of service.
