Anne M. (Early) Giangregorio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. Anne was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of the late James M. and Marie B. (Liberty) Early. She attended Woodland Prep and was the recipient of the Catholic Women’s Club 4 year scholarship to Notre Dame Academy where she was a member of the first graduating class. She was a graduate of Emmanuel College, Boston and received a Master’s Degree in Urban Education from Worcester State University. She taught for more than 30 years in Worcester at Gage Street School and Chandler Magnet retiring in 2000. Anne leaves her beloved husband of 56 years, Joseph; 4 loving children: a son, Joseph Jr. , his wife Karen and their children Anna and Joseph III of Tolland, CT.; 3 daughters, Marianne Librandi, her husband Vincent and their sons Dominic and Benjamin of Paxton; Paula Dowd, her husband Kevin and their children James and Kathryn of Paxton; Susan Jones, her husband Gary and children Dylan, Callum, and Liam Bushe of Haverhill. She also leaves a brother Paul J. Early and his wife Noreen of N. Brookfield and a sister- in- law, Deborah A. Early of Paxton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many special and supportive long-time friends. Anne was predeceased by her brother Thomas D. Early. Anne enjoyed traveling, particularly, to Italy. She especially enjoyed being at her home in Chatham where she loved to entertain, garden, read and have a glass of wine. She cherished time with family and friends. She had a quick sense of humor, and a ready smile. She was a member of the Guild of Our Lady of Providence and a communicant of St. Columba Church in Paxton and Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 3-7 pm at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrate Anne’s life on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11am at St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Ave., Paxton, MA. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery in Paxton.
