Anna C. (Gentile) Perro, 91, of Worcester and Pompano Beach Florida passed away Saturday, January 30th 2016, with family gathered at her bedside. Anna was born in Worcester, one of nine children of Italian immigrants Matteo and Marianna (DiPasquale) Gentile. Towards the end of World War II, in 1945, Anna met and married in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, her love for the next 62 years, Michael J. Perro. They settled in the off Shrewsbury in the Italian Neighborhood to raise their family before moving to Shrewsbury. They lived in the family home and wintered in Pompano Beach Florida until 2007 when Michael passed away. After retirement Anna and Michael lived almost year round in Florida. Anna was a house wife raising her children all her life. She also co-owned with her husband and now children, Perro’s Auto Sales and Maeanne Reality Company. She is survived by her five children, Anthony Perro with whom she lived, Michael A. Perro and his life partner Diana Biancharia of Oxford, Robert Perro and his wife Paula of Boylston, Cheryl A. Meuse and her husband Anthony of Worcester, John Perro and his wife Cindy of Whitinsville; a sister, Marion Biando of Auburn and sister in law Joan Gentile of Worcester; twelve grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Seven siblings; Josephine, Louis, and Michael Gentile, Antoinette DiRoberto, Frances Gerardi, Vincenza Pusateri and Mary Gingras all pre deceased her. Anna was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church and St Henry’s church in Florida. She loved to dance, cook and especially be surrounded by her large family and friends. She was the backbone of the family whose faith in family and Italian heritage taught her children that family was everything. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Sunday, February 7th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Monday, February 8th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial next to Michael will follow in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St.
