Carol Ann (Chapman) Gay, 71 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Saint Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Carol is survived by two sons, Michael Gray and his wife Angela of Sutton and Matthew Gray of Maine ; five beloved grandchildren; Ashley, Jess, Tyler, Kayla, and Lauren also many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers, Robert F. Chapman and James W. Chapman, and her companion and best friend, June Faron. Carol was born and raised in Framingham, the daughter of the late Willis J. and Eileen M. (McEwen) Chapman and graduated from Framingham High School, Class of 1963. She was a school bus driver for 10 years in Northborough. Carol was a member of Saint James Church in Pepperell and lived there for many years before moving to Worcester. Carol loved the sci-fi channel and was an avid Red Sox fan. Carol had a huge heart and always took care of others and gave to anyone who needed help. She loved to make people laugh and smile. Calling hours for Carol will be held on Saturday January 30, from 11am to 1:00pm with a service at the end of calling hours in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester.
