Carl A. Mangano, 86, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly Wednesday January 20th, 2016 at home. Carl leaves two sisters, Dorothy Evangeline and Eleanor Falcone of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Marion Mangano of Grafton and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Samuel, Anthony, William and Albert and five sisters Nancy Doucimo, Maria Mangano, Fanny Picard, Mary Mangano and Rose Kubic. Carl was born February 3, 1929 in Worcester, Massachusetts, a son of the late Angelo and Grace (Gaccione) Mangano.He graduated from Becker College, served in the Army during the Korean War, worked in Washington, DC after discharge from the service and subsequently worked for several years at Tucker and Rice in Worcester, MA. Before there was Google, anyone could call Uncle Carl for answers to questions. His nieces and nephews thought the world of him and nothing pleased him more than a visit from them, their children and their children’s children! Carl was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Loreto Parish. His funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, January 25th AT 11:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 37 Massasoit Rd. At the request of Carl, there are no visiting hours. Interment will be in St John’s Cemetery.
