Jane E. Ash, 93, formerly of Coes Pond Village, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 4th 2016. Jane was born in Worcester, one of three daughters of John and Jennie (Deedy) Ash. She graduated from The Worcester High School of Commerce, and accepted a position in the office of Reed Rolled Thread Company in Holden where she worked for over 30 years before retiring in 1986. She has lived in both Worcester and Holden throughout her life. Jane is survived by her nieces; Star Boltieri of Sanford Maine, and Dawn Carey in Massachusetts; her nephew in law John T Gentile ,her great niece Karen Gentile and her husband Mark Topor of Belchertown, her great nephews; Robert Gentile and his wife Katie Bigelow of Natick,John Holland of Bideford, Maine; her great great nieces and nephews Savannah, Leah, Brayden and Devin Gentile as well as other extended family members and friends. Her niece Paula (Dolan) Gentile predeceased her, as well as her three sisters; Dorothy A. Dolan, Margaret M. Carey and Anna E. Crowley. Jane was a former member of Blessed Sacrament, as well as the Coes Pond Village Senior Association. Jane enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; bowling, vacationing in Maine, bus trips and traveling throughout the country, spending time with family and friends, celebrating special family occasions,and hanging out with her friends at Coes Pond Village and reading. Jane truly believed that faith, family and friends were the most important things in life and had room in her heart for everyone she met. Jane was very generous with her love and time, and helped anyone she could. Funeral services for Jane will be held Thursday, January 7th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a procession of Blessed Sacrament Church, 550 Pleasant St. where her Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Burial will follow with her parents in St John Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held Thursday, January 7th from 9:45 am to 10:45 am before proceeding to church.
