Judith A. “Judy” (Sokolowski) Miller, 72 of Shrewsbury, formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at home with her loving family beside her. Judy’s husband of 52 years, John R. Miller passed away on March 10, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Gamache and her husband Philip of Manchester, NH; two sons, John R. Miller, Jr. and his partner Paul Venti of Shrewsbury with whom she lived and Rick Bousquet and his wife Bethany of Millbury; five grandchildren, Justin and Michelle Gamache, Nicole & Lillian Bousquet and Abigail Flynn; two great grandchildren, Amelia Ortiz and Gabriel Gamache. She is predeceased by her brother, Walter Sokolowski and her sister, Jane Sokolowski. Judy was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Walter C. and Lillian M. (Ferguson) Sokolowski. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived in Worcester all her life. Judy worked as a bank teller for the former Flagship Bank for 17 years before she retired in 2012. She previously worked for Hanover Insurance. Judy loved to travel and take annual Bermuda cruises with family and friends. A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.
