Michael W. Lamusta Jr., 85, of Worcester died peacefully Wednesday December 2, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. His wife Patricia (Canning) Lamusta died in 1993. Michael leaves his loving family; two sons, David M. Lamusta and his life partner William J. Gagnon of Worcester, Michael W. Lamusta lll and his wife Mirta of Spencer, five daughters; Gina M Abdalla of Grafton, Lisa A. West and her husband Todd of Worcester, Maria R. Mahoney and her husband John of Sutton, Lori E. Boisvert and her husband Martin of Webster, and Patricia N. Landry of Sutton. Michael also leaves his grandchildren; David, Bryan, Todd, Daniel, Patrick, Jessica, Todd, Megan, and Joseph. Michael is also survived by a sister Janice A. Santora and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury, and two brothers, Richard D. Lamusta and his wife Carol of Lynnfield, and Edward R. Lamusta of Worcester, many nephews and nieces. Michael was born in Worcester son of the late Michael W. Lamusta Sr. and Jenny (Graziano) Lamusta and lived in Millbury for many years before returning to Worcester. He was a graduate of North High School and attended Worcester Junior College and Clark University where he received his certificate in Accounting, He served his country proudly during the Korean War, in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for several years. Michael was an Accountant for the Wyman Gordon Company for over 38 years before he retired. He was a long time member of the Church of St. Stephen. Mike enjoyed woodcarving, dancing, and being in his flower garden, However his most treasured times were those he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His family meant the world to him and he will be missed by his loving family and friends. Michael’s funeral will be held on Monday December 7 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30AM in the Church of St. Stephen 357 Grafton St. In celebrating Michael’s life the family will have a visitation from 3PM to 6Pm on Sunday in the Funeral Home.
