Dorothy M Dahrooge

Dorothy (Zachariewicz) Dahrooge passed away peacefully with family gathered by her side.                                                    Dorothy was the wife of the late Albert D. Dahrooge.  She leaves her two daughters, Pamela Carabba and her husband Victor, and Sandra L. Dahrooge of Worcester; a granddaughter she loved dearly, Adrianna Rosembert of Somerville; her sister, Pauline Fleury and her husband Donald of Worcester;  two brothers, Robert Zachariewicz of Worcester and Richard Zachariewicz; and her sister, Theresa Hakenson; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.    Dorothy was born in Worcester, a daughter of Bronie P. and Pauline (Lapinsky) Zachariewicz and lived in Shrewsbury over 52 years.  Dorothy worked for the University of Massachusetts Medical Center for many years before retiring.  She was a member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral.   Funeral services were held privately.  Burial next to her husband, Albert, was in Hope Cemetery.  Memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Worcester, MA 01604 or to a charity of one’s choice.    The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St Worcester is    honored to have assisted the family.
