Robert P. “Duke” Duprey, 66 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at home. Robert’s wife, Charlotte R. (Ferrantino) Duprey passed away in 2006. He is survived by his son, Adam Duprey of Worcester; two daughters, Aimee Duprey of Dudley and Laura Duprey of Worcester with whom he lived; two grandchildren, Kasey Goodrich of Dudley and Tyler Duprey of Worcester; his former wife, Lee A. Elliott of Worcester. Robert was born in Worcester, a son of the late Robert L. and Rose B. (Giangrande) Duprey. He graduated from North High School and later served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marines. During his tour of duty, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Robert worked for the City of Worcester’s Department of Public Works as a general foreman for 37 years retiring in 2008. Robert’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
