Thomas "Butch" Kachadoorian JR, 72, of Worcester, Passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 18th 2015, after being stricken ill. Tom was born and raised in Worcester, one of four children of Thomas Kachadoorian Sr. and Mildred (Whithers) Kachadoorian. He graduated from North High School, joined the U.S. Air Force serving his country proudly during the early stages of Vietnam stationed at Aviano Air Base in Italy working with Classified Intelligence. Upon his honorable discharge after four years of service he returned to Worcester and married "The Love of his Life", Donna Lombardi. For the next 50 years Tom and Donna enjoyed life in love and devotion raising their three children and five grandchildren. He truly believed in his heritage, faith, family and friends. Tom was generous with his love and time. He was loved, admired and respected by everyone he met. Tom worked all his life. He thrived in his many positions for the Winter Hill Frozen Foods Company retiring as a food buyer after 32 years. Tom not one to just stop working, accepted a position in the administration department at New England Deaconess Hospital and later at the Briarwood Retirement Community for another 15 years. Tom is survived by his love, Donna; their three children, Mark J. Kachadoorian; Thomas J. Kachadoorian and his fiancée Wendy Rickert of Worcester; Jenifer and her husband Brian Cozzolino of Sterling; two brothers, Robert G Kachadoorian of Auburn and John C Kachadoorian of Rochadale; five grandchildren that he dearly loved, Brianna, Matthew, Hannah, Domenic and Anthony; his sister in law Eileen Lombardi; brother in law Robert and wife Jacqueline Lombardi of Worcester. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mildred; sister Katherine; his sister in law Cynthia Kachadoorian and his brother in law Richard Lombardi. He also leaves several nephews, nieces and cousins to whom he was extremely close, extended family members and friends. Tom was an avid golfer. He enjoyed playing many different courses especially with his sons. He was a member of the Hye Hackers Golf Club. He has a Registered Hole in One on the 3rd hole at Tory Pines in Francestown New Hampshire. His most memorable highlight of his golf career was the round he played at Pebble Beach in California with his wife by his side. Tom enjoyed his home and working in his yard, traveling, watching PGA tournaments and all New England sports teams. When his children were young, Tom coached them in the Tris Speaker Little League and Burncoat Babe Ruth League. He loved to watch his grandchild thrive and involved himself in all of their hobbies and activities. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, November 22nd from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Monday, November 23rd from the funeral home with a procession to Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove Street, where Reverend Hayr Sourp will celebrate his service at 11:00 am. Entombment with Air Force Honors will follow in St John Mausoleum. A Dan Gark service will be held at 5:30 pm Sunday during calling hours.
