Mary C. Crane, 57 of Worcester, formerly of Scituate, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2015 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her sister, Helen Pinkham and her husband Steven of Peabody; three brothers, Michael Crane of Amherst, John Crane of Lynn and David Crane and his wife Jodi of Salem; six nieces and nephews, Jason McGowan, Patrick McCaffrey and his fiancé Jessica, Ethan Crane, Katie Teixeira and her husband Anthony, Caitlin Pinkham and Ronan Crane; 3 great nephews, Aiden, Connor and Jeremiah. Mary was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Paul and Catherine (Cotter) Crane. She grew up in Scituate, Rhode Island where she graduated from Scituate High School. She later received her Bachelor's degree from Providence College and a Master's degree from Fitchburg State College. Mary worked as a Behavior Analyst for over 30 years and most recently for UMass Medical Center for many years. She loved the outdoors especially when she was kayaking, canoeing or hiking. Mary also loved music and was a strong advocate for the Autism community. Mary's funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 18th from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
