Dorothy H. (Fleming) Houle, 95, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015, in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her loving family. Her loving husband, Leo J. Houle, predeceased her in 2006. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Marylou Houle, and Ann Marie Cravedi and her husband Richard, all of Worcester; two grandchildren, Ronald J. Pellegrino of Worcester, and Melissa A. Chiaravalloti and her husband Mark of Sterling; a great grandson, Cole Leo; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by an infant son, James Joseph Houle, and by her sister, Phyllis M. Pingeton. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, James M. and Mary E. (McGourty) Fleming, and has lived in Worcester all her life. Dorothy graduated from Commerce High School in 1938 and from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing in 1941. Her nursing career spanned more than thirty years at the former Worcester City Hospital. She was a member of Saint Stephen's Parish, the Catholic Nurses Association, the City Hospital Alumni Association, and the Mass State Retirees Association. Dorothy's family would like to thank numerous people for the wonderful care given to Dorothy and her family, including Dr. Edward Driscoll, Dr. Paul Rava and Staff, the staff on 3 south at Memorial Hospital, and the "angels" at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation. The love, care, and respect that they all showed will long be remembered. Calling Hours for Dorothy will be held on Sunday, November 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Monday, November 9, from the funeral home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester.
