Edith L. (Stano) Iaccarino

Edith L. (Stano) Iaccarino, 88, of Worcester died peacefully Sunday November 1, 2015 in the Christopher House surrounded by her loving family. Her Husband Joseph M. Iaccarino died in 2004. Edith is survived by her children, four sons Ralph Iaccarino of Shrewsbury, Joseph M. Iaccarino Jr.of Worcester, Anthony Iaccarino of Auburn, and Michael L. Iaccarino of Plano TX. Two daughters Marie Elena Slyva of Framingham, and Tersilia "Terry" Hughes of Whitinsville. eighteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, many nephews , nieces close cousins and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers ; Leonardo "Lelo" Joseph "Tiger" and Ernest "Honkey" Stano. Edith was born in Worcester daughter of the Late Frank and Tersiglia (Favulli) Stano and lived in Shrewsbury over twenty years before returning to Worcester. She attended the David Hale Fanning Girls School. Edith enjoyed being a stay at home Mom for her children. She loved to prepare all the traditional Italian meals for her family and friends. She spent many hours crocheting making numerous afghans and blankets which she loved to give to family members, friends and donate to various organizations. The family would like to thank the staff of Christopher House and Christopher Heights, and also the Jewish Hospice members for all their kindness and compassion shown to Edith and her family. It is truly appreciated. Edith will be sadly missed by her family and friends. All services for Edith will be private and held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. assisted the family with their Mothers Service.
