Judith B. (Cann) Berkes, 76 of Palm City, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Judy's husband of eighteen years, William J. Berkes passed away in 1991. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathy May (Beach) Puccio wife of Mark of North Grafton; two step-daughters, Perri Ritchie of Carlisle, MA and Rebecca Reber of Clinton, MA; two step-sons, Brian Berkes and his wife Lisa of Gardner and Patrick Berkes of Chelmsford; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Carly, Kirsten and Nick Puccio, Nick and Will Ritchie, Samantha and Ben Berkes, and Jack Berkes; a step-sister, Carol Metcalf of Rochester, NY; many close friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel M. Beach, IV who passed away in 2008 and her sister, Jeanne Lochtefeld in October, 2015. Judy was born in Rochester, New York where she grew up, a daughter to the late Richard Thompson and Helen (May) Cann. She graduated from Columbia School for Girls in Rochester and later received her associate's degree from Centenary College. She was a longtime resident of Carlisle, MA before moving to Florida fulltime. Judy served as a Trustee at Emerson Hospital for several years as well as serving on the Board of Directors at Deck House, Inc. along with her husband who was founder and CEO. She was involved with many charitable organizations over the years. Judy loved to golf and was a championship golfer. She was a longtime member of Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, MA, Pipers Landing in Stuart, FL. and Monarch Country Club in Palm City, FL. She also loved to travel the world, Boston sports, the theater, spending time with her family, and most importantly spoiling her grandchildren. Judith's memorial service will be held privately.
