Lisa Marie (Pignataro) Esper, 52, longtime resident of Shrewsbury, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, October 24, 2015, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Lisa is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Manzi and her husband Brian of Auburn and Britney Zona and her husband Anthony of Worcester; her parents, Dominic and Barbara (Zalimas) Pignataro of Shrewsbury; her brother, Vincent Pignataro of Shrewsbury; her sister, Barbara Chionchio and her husband Anthony of Worcester; two grandchildren, Ariana and Mila Manzi; three nephews, Justin, Zachary and Michael DeGaetano; extended family members and friends Lisa was born in Worcester, but grew up in Shrewsbury. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School and later received her certification in cosmetology from Rob Roy Academy. Lisa worked as an esthetician at Mademoiselle's for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Lisa loved to dance, cook and spend time with her family, especially her girls. She enjoyed fashion, jewelry and was always dressed to her best. She enjoyed summer at the beach, fall foliage at Mt. Wachusett, and never went anywhere without her camera. She fought Multiple Sclerosis for many years but always remained happy go lucky. Lisa's family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff at Beaumont nursing facility especially Lisa, Debbie, Corrine, Lydia, Chris, Jen and Kim for all the care and compassion they had given to Lisa during her fight. Services for Lisa will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately. Friends and family are invited to a period of calling hours on Wednesday, October 28th from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
