Our beautiful mother, sister, and grandmother, Emma N. Burnett went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 19, 2015. She loved her lord, Jesus Christ, and her family with her whole heart. She showed compassion, forgiveness, and selflessness to everyone God placed in her life. She was our rock here on earth. She was a precious grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren who loved and adored her dearly. We are thankful for the years the Lord gave her to us and yearn for the day when we can run into her arms again and share eternity with our precious angel. Emma was born on August 24, 1941 to the late Sylvester and Grace Lee (Frazier) Burnett in Dozier Alabama and made her home in Worcester, MA for over forty years. Emma worked as a Mental Health Worker for Worcester City Hospital for over 26 years. After retirement, she worked with Elder Care Services. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, crocheting and was a talented cook who always loved preparing meals for her family to enjoy. She leaves behind to mourn her loss; a son, Patrick Burnett of Worcester; three daughters, Edna Cope and her husband Sammy of Alabama, Arie Ashley of Leominster and Rosalyn Burnett of Worcester, her eighteen grandchildren who were her heart, Eric, Latesha, Adrian, Dominique, Susie, Jeffrey, Shaun, Jarell, D'Andre, Nathan, Denita, Monay, Edward, Raquale, Jaiselynn, Jaquale, Jazz and Aracely; eight great grandchildren; six brothers, Lonnie and Willie Burnett of Brantley, AL; Johnnie Roy, Lee Roy and Kenneth Burnett of Dozier, AL and Joe Louis Burnett of Worcester; five sisters, Murdie Belle Sams, Betty Jean Daniels and Mary Sue Burnett all of Brantley, AL and Annie Doris Burnett and Carolyn Burnett both of Worcester.
