Robert Eugene Chavis

Robert E. "Steelz" Chavis, 30, departed this life and entered into eternal rest on October 20, 2015. Robert was born on July 16, 1985, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Robert leaves to cherish his memory his Daughter, Janiece R. Chavis, Son, Makhai E. Chavis, Mother, Ruby I. Chavis, Father, Robert E. Gamble, Maternal Grandmother, Elnora Chavis, Brother, Vernon J. Chavis, Sister, Cheryl A. Chavis, and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins. Extended family; Jai Harris, Tyrone Gamble, Adam Gardner, Damian Cruz, Anitra Gamble, Shaneria Vaughn, and Tuauna Boutwell. Robert was predeceased by his Maternal Grandfather, Jarvis C. Chavis, and Paternal Grandmother, Ruth Clay. Out-going, charismatic, perceptive, and strong-willed are only a few characteristics that describe Robert who was more affectionately known as B. Steelz, Bobby, or if you were really lucky, just Bob. He was a sociable person who had many friends. He was well liked and respected, someone you could trust and rely on, someone you could confide in and ask for advice. His laughter was contagious and he knew how to use humor to lighten a solemn occasion and bring joy to those around him. His life was his family; they meant more to him than anything. Let us continue to celebrate his life as we are all privileged and honored to have known him.
