Shirley E. Giroux

Shirley E. (Reim) Giroux,80, of Worcester died peacefully Monday October 12, 2015 in the Millbury Healthcare Center. Shirley leaves her children; Wendy Millett, George Giroux Jr. Sandra Giroux, Paul Daniel Giroux, Kathy Hokanson, Sheila Agbay, and Bonita Giroux. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, two brothers, Charles and Donald Reim, and 2 sisters Phyllis Adams, and Evelyn Cummings, and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by 2 brothers; Roy "Buddy" Reim, and Kenneth " Louie" Reim, and her former husband George Giroux. Shirley was born in West Warren Ma, daughter of the late Roy and Clara (Vilandre) Reim and lived in Worcester most of her life. She was a graduate of West Warren High School, and attended Becker Junior College, where she studied Culinary Arts. Shirley was a cook and worked at several area Nursing Homes. She loved to travel especially to Florida, but also enjoyed her trips to Europe and Las Vegas. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved being with her family and always was the life of the party, probably were she earned her nickname Bubbles". She loved making people laugh and was always there to lend a helping hand to her friends and family and never expected anything in return but their love. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Calling hours for Shirley will be held on Thursday October 22, from 5PM to 7PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A service will be held at 7PM at the close of calling hours. Inurnment will be held privately at the family's convenience in St. Johns Cemetery. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL is assisting the family with arrangements..
