Denis T. Melican, 70 of Worcester passed away Sunday, October 11th 2015 following a valiant battle with Diabetes and Agent Orange. He was 70 years of age. Denis was born in Worcester, the son of Francis and Margaret (O'Connor) Melican. He graduated from South High School class of 1963, joined the U.S. Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to Worcester, Denis furthered his education earning his certification from the Worcester Industrial Technical Institute "WITI". He then accepted a position as a metal heat treater for the Norton Company for several years before accepting the same position from the County Heat Treat Company in Millbury before he retired. Denis is survived by the love of his life for the past 35 years, Karen H. (Dahrooge) Melican; a son, Jeffrey Conway of Hartford CT; his cousin, Kathleen Brosnihan of Rochdale; Many extended family members and friends. Denis was a member of the Chester P. Tuttle Post 279 in Auburn for the past 22 years. He was an avid Patriots fan and loved watching Western Movies. Funeral services were held privately.
