Joanne M. (Settle) Tinsley, 60 of Oakham, formerly of Boylston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family after a battle with cancer. Joanne is survived by her best friend and the love of her life of 20 years, Kevin P. Madrazo; her beloved children, Shawn and April Lawson both of Worcester; two brothers, John E. Settle, Jr. of Worcester and David A Settle and his wife Gloria of Boylston; three adored granddaughters, Re'ahna, Julianna and Amanda; many nieces, nephews, cousins including Patricia Falcone of Worcester and lifelong friends from Nicholas Ave., Boylston. Joanne was born in Worcester, the daughter of John E. Settle, Sr. and Doris G. (Falcone) Settle. She grew up in Boylston and graduated from Tahanto Regional High School. She has lived in Oakham for the past 19 years. Joanne was a waitress for many years at Ladd's Restaurant in Rutland. Joanne was a talented jewelry maker, mostly making bracelets and would sell them on Etsy and EBay for others to enjoy. She had a passion for crafts and enjoyed painting with her friend Wendy. Joanne was an avid bird watcher and gardener. She loved going on trips to Quabbin Reservoir where she spent time watching the eagles and motorcycle rides with Kevin. Joanne's Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St., Boylston. Burial will following in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston.
