Gail Smith, devoted, companion, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully, Sunday September 13th 2015 surrounded by the family she loved so much after a period of declining health. She was 67 years of age. Gail was born in Worcester she was a daughter of Isaac Smith and Dora (Goldstein) Smith. Educated in Worcester, Gail earned her bachelors of Science degree from Anna Maria College. She has lived in Worcester all her life. Gail is survived by a sister, Beverly Dickens; her brother and sister in law, Neil and Jennifer Smith; her significant other, Richard A. Constant; two nephews, Jared Smith and his wife Jessica, and Joffrey Smith; three nieces, Shauna Smith , Alisa Boisclair and her husband Guy, and Michelle Dickens; grand nieces and nephews, Devan and Avery Smith, and Ashley Graham; a great, great nephew Justus Hall; Extended family and many friends. Besides her parents, a brother in law, Stuart Dickens and nephew David Dickens all pre deceased her. Gail worked as an Engineer for the Digital Manufacturing Corporation retiring over 25 year ago. Devoted to her family and friends, Gail lived a simple but dedicated life to all she knew. Her Love Richard, brother, Neil , sister Beverly and sister in law Jennifer were what she held close. Her nieces and nephews she treated her as her own. Friends, enjoyed every moment they could be with her. Gail loved to cook for family and friends whenever she could or was asked. She will be greatly missed. Gail was a member of the Temple Beth Am Synagogue in Framingham and the former Temple Emanuel in Worcester. Sometime ago, Gail needed and received a Liver transplant from the New England Organ Bank. Since then, Gail has been a staunch advocate for organ donations, even speaking on behalf of the Organ bank to people considering donation. She was very active with the Organ Bank. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 17th at 11 am in the Worcester Hebrew Cemetery, Havana Rd, Auburn. Cantor Jodi Schechtman will officiate. Memorial Observances will be announced.
