She was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters, Richard A., James, and Alfred Cove, Mary Waterhouse, Patricia Rockwood, Helen Neville, Shriley Wheeler, and Kathleen Murphy. Margaret worked for twenty-three years, in the Environment Building Services Department at UMass Hospital and Medical School, before retiring in 2013. She loved her large family and was devoted to caring for them, so much so that her children were around her daily, as they lived in the same multi family home. She enjoyed BINGO and "The Wonder of It All". Her family would like to send a heartfelt "Thank you" to the amazing "angels" at Holy Trinity Hospice, especially her nurse Linda Murphy. It was through their compassion and caring that Margaret's final days were somewhat bearable. Calling Hours and a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a Service at 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will be held privately.
