Harold F. Boosahda Jr., 87, passed away peacefully in the Lord, Friday, August 28th 2015, after a period of declining health, joining in heaven his dear wife Violet who passed away in 2012. Harold was born in Worcester, a son of Harold F. Boosahda Sr. and Mary (Najjar) Boosahda and graduated from Commerce High School class of 1947. Harold then met and three years later on October 1, 1950, married Violet C. Harootunian. They then began a 62 year marriage in love and devotion until 2012 when Violet passed away. Harold worked all his life. He began working for Billings Auto Supply, then accepting a position as manager for his brother George at Speddy's Drive-in on Shrewsbury Street. Harold then worked for consolidated Beverage, Norman City truck, Rodway Corporation, and Bowker, Hamlin and Quirk Tire, before accepting a position as facilities manager for the U.S. General Service's Administration in Fitchburg for 15 years before retiring. Harold is survived by his three children, Harold F. Boosahda III and his wife Margarette of Herndon, VA, Andrea M. Boosahda and her husband Jones Inman of Franklin Tenn, Scott P. Boosahda Sr. and his wife Sue of Worcester,.; a brother, George Busada of Worcester; sister, Evelyn Ayoub of West Roxbury; five grandchildren, Erica Bush and her husband Bill, Christina, Vanessa and Scott Boosahda Jr., and Blake Burton; two great grandchildren, Sierra and Bill Bush Jr. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his wife Violet; a sister, Helen Hamwey, and twin brother Raymond Boosahda pre deceased him. Harold was an active member and former board member of St George Orthodox Cathedral. A member of its men's club, and onetime facilities committee member. Harold was a member of the Morningstar Lodge of Masons, and a co-organizer of the former Sons of Italy, Botticelli Ball. Mr. Boosahda's deep love for his family was referenced in the interest he took with them. Nothing made him more happy and satisfied then being with them at the holidays and family gatherings. They were his Life's inspiration. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tomorrow Tuesday, September 1st from 9:30 am to 10:45 am in St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. His funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Burial next to his dear wife Violet will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street 01604 or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, Tenn. The Boosahda family would like to thank the Nurses and Staff of the Holy Trinity Nursing home for the care, comfort and compassion they gave to Harold and our family during a difficult time. We would also like to especially thank Cheryl Walsh for her loving and compassionate friendship with Harold over the last five and a half years.
