Robert A. Gabree

Robert A. Gabree, 56, a resident of Millbury passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in UMASS Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. Robert was born and raised in Worcester the son of the late Gertrude (Healy) Gabree Condon and William J Gabree. He was a 1977 graduate of North High School, where he excelled in sports. After graduating, Robert joined the United States Marines. He worked at Greenwood Industries as a Union roofer for over 20 years. He leaves behind his brother, Daniel Gabree and his wife Laura-Lee and niece Alyson of Worcester and wife, Mary (Quinn) Gabree of Auburn. He also leaves Nicole Casey, who was like a daughter to him and his sister-in-law, Robin Gabree. Robert had many aunts, uncles and cousins. A brother, Michael W. Gabree, preceded him in death in 2005. Robert enjoyed golfing and laughing with his buddies. He was a member of the Brown Square Civic Club. Family, friends, and others whose lives Robert touched are invited to calling hours on Saturday, August 15th from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. prior to calling hours. Burial will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
