Ann M. (Assad) Collins, 90 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Sterling Village, Sterling. Ann's husband of twenty-one, years, Ronald W. Collins passed away on January 25, 1972. She is survived by a son, Paul W. Collins and his wife Arwyn of Las Vegas, Neveda; two daughters, Nancy M. Karam and her husband Sami of Worcester and Cynthia A. Collard and her significant other Donald Cranson of Sterling; a sister, Teresa Nader of Worcester; six grandchildren, Mike, David, Guilnar, Patricia, Jacqueline and Nicholas; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three sisters, and four brothers. Ann was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Massoud and Louise (Nader) Assad. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade and has lived here all her life. She worked for the City of Worcester School of Nursing as a House Mother for 20 years retiring in 1989. Ann was a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Church in Worcester. She was a proud "Sito" who dedicated her life to her family. The family would like to thank Sterling Village and the Brookhaven Hospice for the outstanding care given to Ann during her time of need. Services for Ann will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Peters Church, 931 Main St., Worcester. Burial next to her husband will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 5th from 9-10 a.m. in the funeral home prior to departure for her funeral Mass.
