Lynn M Aubrey

May 21, 1998 — July 14, 2015

Lynn M. Aubrey, 17 of Worcester, fell asleep for the final time on this earth in the arms of her Dad on Tuesday, July 14th 2015 at Boston Children's Hospital shortly after Father Philip Daubney anointed her and as he was singing to her a tender lullaby. Lynn suffered throughout her life with either cancer or some disability associated with cancer. Like Jesus she was deeply loved by a few, ignored by most and even ridiculed by some. Still, through all, she lived her life with a smile on her face and love in her heart. Lynn leaves to mourn and remember her; her parents, Robert and Cynthia J. (Walkiewicz) Aubrey with whom she lived; her brothers left to go on with their lives, Robert Aubrey and Christopher Aubrey; Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Always willing to achieve a goal she aspired to; Lynn wanted to be a sports psychologist and would be so proud to see her older brother Robert achieve his goal by becoming a commercial airline pilot. This past April, Lynn, coached the "Why Me Allstars" hockey team to a thrilling 7-7 tie against the Bruins Alumni at the DCU Center in Worcester. She was most proud of that feat. Her greatest joy was baking cakes and cupcakes for her friend's birthdays, visiting in Boston with the Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox players. Taylor Swift even visited and sang to her. But, thought it all, Lynn remained a humble, little soul. On the final day of her life, Lynn was unable to speak, so she had to write notes to communicate. Her final note was to "Thank the hospital cleaning lady for keeping her room so nice." The Aubrey Family would like to thank Dr. Carlos and Nurse practitioner Annette at Boston Children's Hospital for having the Love in their Hearts and always putting Lynn's spiritual needs first before treatments. Few in the medical field would have the courage to do that. It goes without saying that Lynn Loved her nurses and her nurses loved her. Monsignor Robert Johnson will celebrate Lynn's funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 22nd at 10:30 am in The Cathedral of St Paul, 15 Chatham St. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Worcester. The family request that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions in her name made to "The Bob Aubrey Flying Fund" care of TD Bank, 430 West Boylston St. Worcester Ma 01606.
