Noella A. "Lovey" Bellenoit, formerly of Hilton Ave, Worcester, passed away peacefully July 12, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years of age. Noella, nicknamed Lovey as a small child, is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Richard L. Bellenoit as well as by her three daughters Cynthia Berman and her husband Barry of Boxford, Lisa Pardo and her husband Rick of Plymouth, Nancy Levenson and her life partner Stan Thurley of Westport, CT, and her son Steven and his wife Carole of Waterford, NY. She is also survived by her sister Beatrice Moore of Scottsdale, AZ as well as by the six grandchildren who adored her, Adam Berman and his wife Sondria of Newton, Ashley Berman and her fiancée Adam Waxman of Lynnfield, Stevie and Caitlin Bellenoit of Waterford, NY and Joshua and Sarah Levenson of Westport, CT and by her great-granddaughter Sasha Berman of Newton. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lovey was born in Worcester, the youngest of eight children of William and Donalda (Berthiaume) Lemay. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Leo who was killed in action during WWII in the South Pacific, her brothers Arthur and Richard as well as by her sisters Rita Riordan, Bella Carpenter and Gertrude Dupont. Lovey grew up in Worcester and married her childhood sweetheart, Richard, on June 20, 1953 in St Joseph's Church. Her Faith and her Church were always important to her. She grew up as a member of St. Joseph's and baptized her children there. She was an active member of its Charismatic Prayer Group and was a tremendous leader and provider of spiritual support to many of its members and congregants. She later became a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church prior to moving to Chelsea three years ago due to illness. Lovey was the heart of her home in the truest meaning. Her family would gather for all holidays and events around her kitchen table while she stirred the pots and manned the stoves. Family was paramount to her and the delicious food and fond memories that she created in her home and in her kitchen for her husband and her children will live on. Funeral services will be held THURSDAY, July 16, 2015 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where Monsignor Stephen Pedone will celebrate her funeral mass at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A period of visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 in the funeral home prior to leaving for mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Lovey's name to The Leonard Florence Center for Living, 165 Captains Row, Chelsea, MA 02150.
