Raymond J. Rouleau, of Worcester formerly of Massasoit Rd. passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 8th 2015 with family gathered at his side. He was 94 years of age. Ray was born in Worcester on February 11, 1921, the only son of Joseph H. and Marie Rose (Proulx) Rouleau. He grew up in Worcester, and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High. Ray then joined the U.S. Army during World War II, serving his country proudly in North Africa, Italy, D-Day invasion, and Central Europe. Upon his return Raymond married Mary V. Tauras and lived happily until Mary passed away in 1976. Raymond then found happiness a second time when he married Jeanne (Varin) Lozeau and lived in love until Jeanne passed in 2001. Raymond accepted a position as a typesetter for the Worcester Telegram and Evening Gazette. After a period of time, Ray began working for the Heffernan Press as a Typesetter before retiring. Raymond is survived by his stepdaughter, Audrey Bonczyk and her husband Stephan of Worcester; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Nicholas Bonczyk; many nieces and nephews including Ronald Collette whom he was especially close too, extended family and friends. Besides his wives; Ray was predeceased by his sisters, Gabrielle and Ruth Rouleau, Pauline Godin, Evelyn O'Reilly and Isabelle Collette. Raymond was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a former member of St Joseph Church. Raymond found his greatest joy during the times his family was all together. Raymond's funeral will be held Friday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a procession to Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1290 Grafton St where his Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial with Military honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held Friday, July 10th from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the funeral home prior to leaving for church.
