Marguerite L. Pacheco

November 19, 1933 — June 30, 2015

Marguerite L. (Gaucher) Pacheco, 81, of Sterling, passed away into the arms of her Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, surrounded by her family. Her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Manuel A. "Manny" Pacheco, Jr., predeceased her in December 2014. Marguerite is survived by her devoted children, two sons, Robert C. Pacheco and Paul M. Pacheco; four daughters, LeeAnne E. Prendiville and her husband David, Linda M. Kimball and her husband Mark, Lisa L. Pacheco and her partner Kenneth Boucher, all of Sterling and Laurie Pacheco and her husband Victor M. Moniz of Leominster. She is also survived by a brother, Ronald D. Gaucher of Boylston, a sister, Jeannine Benson of Worcester; five grandchildren, Angela M. Pacheco, Brittany A. Prendiville, David P. Prendiville, Jr., Steven P. Dufault, and Lauren M. Kimball; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Michael J. Kimball; and by six siblings, Lee, Paul, Conrad, Gerard, Collette, and Theresa. Marguerite was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Valmore X. and Marguerite L. (Roberts) Gaucher. She graduated from the former Saint Peter's High School in Worcester. Marguerite was an integral part and co-founder of several businesses, with her husband, including Sterling Plumbing. She had also worked at the Registry of Deeds in Worcester and upon her retirement, she kept herself busy by working at Walmart. Marguerite was a loving wife and mother, but found great joy in the times she spent with her grandchildren; she was so proud of all of them. She enjoyed summers in Maine, playing BINGO, and "The Wonder of It All". Relatives and Friends are invited to gather for Calling Hours on Monday morning, July 6, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Interment beside her husband will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to the Sterling Firefighters and Ambulance Service, in care of the Sterling Firefighters and Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 21, Sterling, MA 01564.
