Angelina (D'Errico) DiLiddo, 92, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 25th 2015, with her devoted husband Joseph and the family she so loved gathered by her side. She joins her dear daughter, Madelyn Butkus in heaven. Angie was born here in Worcester, one of five children of Italian immigrants, Michael and Madeline (Terlizzi) D'Errico. In 1943, at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, Angie married the man she would spend the next 72 years happily married to, with love and devotion raising their family, Ret. Worcester District Fire Chief Joseph DiLiddo. She has lived here all her life Besides her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her two daughters, Rosemarie Rodio of Webster, and Arlene DiLiddo Bragg and her husband Terry of North Grafton; her son in law, Charles Butkus of North Grafton; two sisters, Gloria Frongillo and Norma Rosiello both of Shrewsbury; eight grandchildren, Charles Butkus, Jr., David and Steven Butkus, Wendy Kelly, Joseph Rodio, Ellen Therrien, Todd and Angela Bragg; fifteen Great Grandchildren; Many nieces, including Sharon M Dubrule who was like a daughter to Angie, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her daughter Madelyn, a brother Thomas D'Errico and sister, Mary Antonucci all pre deceased her. Angie was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. A typical women of Italian heritage; her family was her life's devotion. She found her greatest joy in caring for her husband, her children, grandchildren and her home. She loved to cook and bake Italian delicacies for her family, especially her grandchildren during the many sleepovers at grandmas. The traditional Christmas Eve feasts of the seven fishes, thanksgiving and all special occasions were what made Angie smile. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and caring for her home. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, June 28th from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Monday, June 29th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St where her Mass will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.
