Jane M. Generelli

Jane M. Generelli, 80 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2015 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late James R. and Minnie (Giordano) Generelli, Sr., graduating from the former Commerce High School and lived here all her life. She worked for New England Telephone for 36 years before she retired in 1989. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. Jane's earlier years were spent traveling with co-workers and later with family and friends. She enjoyed dinners, movies and plays with her two sisters, cooking and family "get together's" over the years were a big part of her life. Jane was very instrumental in the caring of her mother until her passing. Jane will be truly missed by her family and friends. Jane is survived by her two sisters, Margaret Amaral and her husband Richard of North Grafton and Mary Ann Jakaitis and her husband Daniel of Worcester; her five brothers, James R. Generelli, Jr., John Generelli and his wife Betty, Edward Generelli and his wife Joanne, Robert Generelli and Thomas Generelli with whom she lived all of Worcester; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services for Jane will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. with a Mass of Christina Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 8:00-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to her funeral mass.
