John Vincent DiBenedetto, 56 of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2015 at home. John is survived by his brother, William J. DiBenedetto and his wife Molly of Shrewsbury; his sister, Deborah Weber and her husband William of Gahanna, OH; four nieces, Yvonne DiBenedetto of Worcester, Renee Angelosante and her husband Joseph of Hoboken, NJ., Ashley Howard and her husband Joshua of Columbus, OH., and Natalie Weber of Gahanna, OH; a nephew, Alex DiBenedetto of Arlington, VA. John was born in Worcester, MA., a son of the late N. Joseph and Frances M. (Silvestris) DiBenedetto, graduating from Holy Name Central Catholic High School. He later graduated with his Associate's Degree from Quinsigamond Community College majoring in computer electronics. John worked as a lab technician for Genzyme Pharmaceutical Company for two years. He previously worked as a field service technician for Stratus Computer for 25 years. John was a member of the former Saint Margaret Mary's Church. He was a family oriented person who enjoyed gardening and American sports cars. He was also very knowledgeable about American history and particularly post WW I military aircraft and ships. John was proud of his ability to identify most of the military planes and provide facts about their capabilities. Services will be held privately.
