Arthur Mari

Arthur Mari, 62, of Worcester died peacefully on Tuesday May 26, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Arthur is survived by his Mother Paola (Vernachi) Mari of Worcester with whom he lived, a daughter Lisa Bennett and her husband Chad of Loris, South Carolina, and a granddaughter that was his pride and Joy, Lia Victoria Bennett. Arthur also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Arthur was born in Piacenza, Italy on March 28 1953 and with his parents came to the United States at the age of 2 and settled in Worcester. His father was the late Albino Mari who died in 2009. He was a graduate of North High School. Arthur was a self employed Jeweler for many years. He was a long time member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann .He loved being with his family especially his granddaughter. He was devoted to his Mother and her care. He was a quiet and humble man who would help anyone in need. Arthur will be sadly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the Medical Resources home nurses especially Debbie, Nancy, and Gina. Also the staff at St. Vincent Hospital and the Rose Monahan Residence for their care and compassion shown to Arthur and his family during this difficult time. It is greatly appreciated. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday June 3, at 11:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. There are no calling hours. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Contributions may be made to the Renovation fund of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church 24 Mulberry St. Worcester MA. 01604.
