Gino Ceccarelli, 82, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Saint Vincent Hospital. Gino is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Gina (Fiacco) Ceccarelli; three daughters, Angela C. Caputo and her husband Frank J. of Worcester; Franca C. Millette and her husband Brian P. of Millbury, and Anna Grenier of Worcester; two sisters, Francesca Scaccia of Bridgeport, CT, and Maria Ceccarelli in Italy; seven grandchildren, Frank Caputo, Jr., and Alyssa Caputo, Samantha, Rebecca, and Michael Millette, Stephen and Isabella Grenier; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister, Alfredo Ceccarelli and Angela Faiola. Gino was born in Frosinone, Italy, son of the late, Antonio and Filotea (Mastronardi) Ceccarelli. He grew up in Italy, where he learned the trade of masonry, and worked hard to become a Master Mason. It was in Italy, that he met his loving wife and they started their family, before moving to the United States in 1970, settling in Worcester. Here in Worcester, Gino worked hard to provide for his family and create a great life for them. He worked as a steel fabricator for many years, retiring from Stanley Steel Company, having previously worked for Parker Manufacturing. Gino was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Parish. He was a hard working person, with a big heart. He enjoyed making wine and working in his vegetable garden. He worked hard and was able to tinker with or repair and recycle almost anything. No matter what he did, it was for his family. Calling Hours for Gino will be held on Friday, May 29, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Saturday morning, May 30, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
