Patti-Lynne M. Campomizzi, 59, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, MA after an eight year battle with cancer. Patti is survived by her beloved husband, Robert J. Campomizzi; her mother and best friend Eleanor J. Mancini; her sisters-in-law Carol Campomizzi and her husband Bruce Forrestall; Eleanor Palmieri and her husband Stephen, their children Stephen Palmieri Jr.; Cheryl Palmieri and her children Alyssa, Madison and godchild Matthew Luber; nephews Joseph Mancini, his wife Jacquelyn and their son Zachary; Michael Mancini and his daughter Emma; niece and godchild Kristi Mancini; godchild Lauren Demers and her fiancé Matthew Caparso; aunts and uncles Rita Allen, Rose and godfather Edward Murray; Louis and Margie Fulginiti and numerous cousins. She is predeceased by her father Frank R. Mancini, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, several cousins, and her precious dog Kai. Patti was born in Worcester to Eleanor J. (Fulginiti) and Frank R. Mancini on November 28, 1955. She graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 1973 and earned a B.S. in Education, cum laude, from Worcester State University in 1977. She went on to pursue a career in accounting and database management. Patti worked as the Assistant Corporate Controller and later as hospital Accounting Supervisor at Memorial Health Care for eleven years. She then worked as the Director of Advancement Services in Development and University Relations at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) for many years. Patti was an active volunteer in the Worcester community. She was an Advisory Board member for Joy of Music Program, Inc. and participated in various health organizations' annual charity dog shows and golf tournaments over the years. Patti was a member of Christ the King Church in Worcester and attended Our Lady of Light Church in Estero. She was an accomplished artist with a passion for interior design. She thoroughly enjoyed playing golf and tennis, walking, Zumba, biking, reading, dog training and spending time with family members and friends. Patti treasured vacations in Ogunquit, ME and her home in Florida with her loving husband Bob. She adored her Country Creek "family" and cherished all of her lifelong friends in Worcester who were so very special to her. There are no calling hours. A Funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. Please proceed directly to the church for the service.
