Worcester - Helen D. (Parks) Costello, 88, of Worcester, passed away April 26th surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late Helen (Bostek) Parks, Greaney and Glen Parks. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived in Worcester all her life. Helen is survived by her devoted children, a son Daniel D. Costello Jr. of Dudley and a daughter Beth Bisceglia, and a son in law Joseph Bisceglia both of Worcester; Seven cherished grandchildren, Erica Costello and her husband George Gjinis, Jennifer, Joseph and Breanne Bisceglia, Kristin Auger and her husband William; Three great-grandchildren Ryan, Brayden and Julian Auger whom she adored; a sister Holly Howe of Rutland, a brother Rae Parks of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved her dearly. A daughter in Law Carol Costello, two brothers, Earl and Glen Parks and one sister Terrill Payne predeceased her. Helen enjoyed many years of retirement, having retired as an accountant from Joseph Leavitt Corporation. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the Red Sox and New England Patriots. Helen loved hearing other people's life stories, joys and sorrows, and listened with a sincere and compassionate ear. She loved games, playing cards and cribbage with family and friends, every kind of socializing with people was a favorite pastime. Helen also enjoyed watching old movies, painting, and crossword puzzles. She took great pride in caring for her yard and her garden. She also loved to cook but her greatest love was her family; she was the happiest when surrounded by them. Helen will be sadly missed by many. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Wednesday, April 29th from 4 pm to 7pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Thursday April 30th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in St Michael of the Heights Episcopal church, 340 Burncoat St Worcester, Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery.
