Rosalia D. "Rose" (Wozny) Siematkowski, 96, of Worcester passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Monday, April 6th 2015. Rose was born is South Deerfield, Mass on October 21st 1918, one of seven children of Polish Immigrants Frank and Julia (Mastalerz) Wozny. Along with her family, Rose moved to Worcester as a young girl, where she grew up, graduated from High School, married George J. Siematkowski and raised her family with love, compassion and family dedication. Proud of her Polish heritage, Rose believed; "it was not where you live; it's how you live" and carried that belief throughout her life. She was the family Matriarch; Surrounded by family, the holidays, special occasions or any family gathering where she could be with her family were the most cherished times of her life. Sundays at "Babci's" were very special. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church; she loved being a homemaker, gardening and tending to her yard and working at Lederman's Bakery on Water Street where she served the public happily for 40 plus years, until retiring. Rose's husband George passed away in 1959. She is survived by the family she dedicated her life to and whom she cherished; Her children, Roger R. Siematkowski of Worcester, Linda Bellucci and her husband Joseph of Princeton; her grandchildren who lovingly called her "Babci" Jason Raymond, Amy Vella and her husband Chris, Kerry Mustica and her husband Salvatore, Justin Raymond and his wife Rebecca; great grandchildren, Sadie, Stella, Nathan, Sofia, Deven, Jason and Matthew. Rose also leaves her sister and best friend, Dorothy "Cioci" Wozny; Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Three brothers John, Francis and Edward Siematkowski and two sisters, Blanche Frantiska and Wanda Szeflinski all pre deceased her. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, April 8th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., followed by a prayer service at 7 pm. Burial will be held privately Thursday next to her husband in Notre Dame Cemetery.
