Ralph P. LaViolette, 58, of Auburn, passed away after a long illness on Friday, April 3rd with his beloved wife by his side. Ralph was born on February 26, 1957, the 8th of 18 children of Bernard and Dorothy C. (Bouley) LaViolette. He graduated from North High School and attended Central New England College. Ralph lived his entire life in the Worcester area and was a self-employed floor installer for many years. He previously worked for the Department of Youth Services as a counselor. Ralph was always very athletic, loved working out and loved the Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He also loved watching old movies especially westerns. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing card games with Sue's parents. Ralph's family and friends will always remember him by his famous saying, "Be Good." Ralph leaves his wife and best friend, Susan E. (Fant) LaViolette; a daughter, Brianna LaViolette of S. Grafton; seven brothers, Francis B. LaViolette of East Brookfield, Mark R. LaViolette of Worcester, Paul J. LaViolette of Brookfield, James G. LaViolette of Oakham, John R. LaViolette of Holden, Peter K. LaViolette of Leicester and Joel T. LaViolette of Ft. Lauderdale; ten sisters, Cecilia D. Stienstra and Lois M. Ferrandino both of Douglas, Anne M. Thebeau of Charlton, Jeanne L. Iovieno, Irene R. Sjogren and Amy L. LaViolette all of Worcester, Betty T. Whiteaway and Lynn M. Batista both of Holden, Ellen J. LeBoeuf of Barre and Gail L. Sarty of Sterling; his Mother and Father In-Law, Allan and Donna Fant and a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Fant all of Sutton ; a sister-in-law, Linda Iozzo of Dudley; friend, Eva Stellato of Oakham; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with his memorial service immediately following at 7 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
