Carol (Fagan) Slovin,78, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband of 51 years, Robert (Bob) Slovin pre-deceased her in 2007. Carol leaves her 3 daughters, Linda Belsito and her husband Kenneth of Worcester, Judy Knoll and her husband Allen of Worcester, Debra Larivee and her husband David of Cumberland, RI and a son Jonathan Slovin and his wife Daniela of Rutland. She also leaves 10 grandchildren; Shana Belsito, Nicholas Belsito, Jason Belsito, Rachel Petto and her husband Richard, Adam Knoll and his wife Aleah, Matt Knoll, Seth Knoll, Bethany Larivee, Joshua and Corey Slovin. She also leaves 4 great grandchildren, Jarrett, Zackery, Brady and Nolan Petto. Carol was born in New York City the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Bogen) Fagan and moved to Worcester as a child and graduated Commerce High School. Carol was employed at the Worcester Telegram and Gazette as a paste up artist in the graphic illustration department and was also the author of its book review column. She was an avid reader, artist and accomplished seamstress. She took great pride in reading the Old Testament. Carols family would like to extend a warm heartfelt thank you to the Dodge Park Rest Home over the last 2 years and the Jewish Healthcare Center and Hospice for the kind care given to their mother. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 23, at 10 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Holy Society Cemetery, Leicester.
