Linda L. (MacArthur) Ruiz, 68 of Worcester, passed away suddenly on Saturday February 28, 2015 at UMass Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Linda's husband of forty-years, Jose A. Ruiz passed away in 2007. She is survived by three sons, Joseph C. Ruiz and his wife Madi of West Boylston, Juan A. Ruiz of Worcester and Luis A. Ruiz and his wife Tiffany of Millbury; a brother, Steven MacArthur of Rochdale; two sisters, Debra Schenk of Southbridge and Tammy Dasho of Paxton; five granddaughters, 1 great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Edward J. Ruiz; four brothers, Douglas McArthur, David McArthur, Charles McArthur and Randy MacArthur; two sisters, Donna Zielsdorf and Tina Halderman. Linda was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Lulie A. (Richards) McArthur. She grew up in Millbury where she attended Millbury Schools. Linda worked as a customer service representative for the former Ames and Zayers for twenty five years before her retirement. She loved collectibles especially angels and precious moments, playing keno in the recreational center and spending time with her granddaughters. Services for Linda will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with her funeral service to be celebrated at 11:00 am in Triumphant Life Church, 166 Holden St., Worcester. Burial next to her husband will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
