Louise E, (DeSalvio) Pavone

Louise E. (DeSalvio) Pavone, 88, of Worcester and Shrewsbury died peacefully Wednesday March 4,2015 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 Years Peter M. Pavone. Louise was predeceased by her first husband Frank Santa Maria, and a son Angelo Santa Maria. She also leaves her loving family; a daughter Maureen M. Mastrovito, wife of the late Salvatore Mastrovito of Shrewsbury, a step-son Peter P. Pavone of CT., her adoring grandchildren Jason S. Mastrovito and his wife Allison, and Lisa Wilhelmsen and her husband Eric, also two great grandchildren Hannah Josephine Mastrovito, and Emily Rose Wilhelmsen, and several nieces and nephews among them Sandra Zdonczyk and her husband Paul, and Karen Sherback and her husband Charles. Louise was predeceased by a brother John M. DeSalvio, and a sister Josephine E. Moriarty. Louise was born in Shrewsbury daughter of the late Matteo and Rose (Cilberto) DeSalvio and lived in Shrewsbury for several years before moving to Worcester. She was an Inspector at the Sprague Electric Company for many years before she retired. Louise was a longtime member of the Church of Our Lady of Loreto, and for many years also attended St. Christopher's Church. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W.Post #609 in West Boylston. She and Peter loved to travel, and enjoyed a good day at the casino! She was a very sociable person and enjoyed being around people. But her most treasured times were those spent with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Louise's funeral will be held Saturday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 37 Massasoit Rd. A visitation with the family will be held Saturday morning only from 8:30AM to 10:00AM prior to leaving for Church. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
