Shirley Mae (Salmon) Dunn, 73 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Jewish Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family. Shirley is survived by her daughter Allise Dunn of Worcester; her brother, Dr. Richard Salmon; her sister, Linda Rowlett of Worcester; four beloved grandchildren, Dushaun, Shalise, Malik and Davante; one great grandchild, Makai; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Theodore J. and Willie Salmon; five sisters, Laura L. Whitaker, Pearl M. Ray-Miller, Elizabeth L. Price, Dorothy E. Coates and Evelyn Salmon. Shirley was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Leroy and Lillie Mae (Rutherford) Salmon. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived here all her life. Shirley worked as a bank teller for WCIS and TJ Maxx for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed doing hair, spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was always known for her stylish fashion and decorative taste. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 9:30-11:00 am in Belmont A.M.E Zion Church, 55 Illinois St., Worcester with her funeral service to be celebrated immediately following at 11:00 am.
