Rose M. (Daboul) Daigle, 92 of Worcester passed away peacefully Monday, February 16th 2015 with family gathered by her bedside. Rose was born in Worcester, one of 11 children of Lebanese immigrants Jacob and Mary (Lischa) Daboul. She grew up in the Shrewsbury Street section of Worcester and graduated from Worcester Public Schools. Rose lived for a year in Auburn before returning to the family home where she has lived ever since. Rose's husband Norman Daigle passed away in 1969. She is survived by the family she loved so much; Her brother, Joseph Daboul of Worcester, two sister's Elizabeth Abdella and Josephine Cote both of Shrewsbury; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and watched over her intently; extended family and friends. Three brothers, John Daboul, killed in World War II, Peter and Anthony Daboul as well as four sisters, Sadie and Lena Daboul, Mary Webb and Ida Healy Ranno all pre deceased her. Rose was an accomplished seamstress and worked many years for David Clark Company before retiring. She previously worked as a seamstress for several other area manufacturers. With family as her emphasis, Rose greatly enjoyed times she spent with her sisters and nieces, traveling to the casinos, playing bingo, nights out, the holidays and special occasions when her whole family could celebrate together. She is remembered as a generous woman, kind-hearted soul and of faith to her church, Our Lady of Mercy. She will be missed by everyone. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Thursday, February 19th from 5pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Friday morning, February 20th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Mercy church, 341 June Street where her Celebration of Life funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial next to her husband will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Church, 341 June Street.
