Willard E. Fields, 54 of Worcester passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 in the Umass hospital. Willard is survived by his wife Star L. McClain; two children, Whitley Fields and Zay K. Fields; his parents, Reverend Dr. James W. and Mary Fields; two brothers, Ronald and Sherman Fields; a sister, Shawnda Fields-Johnson; nieces, nephews and friends. He was born in Wichita, Kansas. He attended University of Houston, and has lived here for more than 17 years. Willard worked as a supervisor for Clariant Company. He previously worked as production manager for several warehousing companies. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Worcester and vice president of its church counsel, planning, management and organizer for church business. A period of calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 18th from 9 am to 10 am in the Church of Christ, 89 Beaver Brook Parkway; followed by his funeral service at 10. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Memorial remembrances can be made to the Willard E. Fields family fund, care of TD Bank, 500 Grafton St Worcester 01604. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
